I am Renate Bauer, a trained goldsmith and silversmith. My own workshop has been at Pfarrplatz in Linz since 2001.
Design, consultation and workbench
My shop and workshop share one room. That matters to me: I offer the consultation, draw the design and make the piece myself. When you visit, you can see where and how the work is done.
I develop my own collections and work to personal requests. A commission may begin with a gemstone, an inherited piece or just a rough idea. Our conversation is where we discover what it could become.

What matters to me
Jewellery can have a strong identity, but it also has to sit well on the body. I pay as much attention to comfort as I do to shape, material and surface.
Materials
In my workshop I use yellow, white and rose gold, as well as silver, gemstones, ornamental stones and pearls.
